Job Description

For over half a century, Ostojic Group has been a cornerstone of excellence in Northern Australia's transport and construction sectors. Our family-owned enterprise delivers premium services in transport logistics, civil construction, quarry operations and ready-mix concrete supply, as well as strategically located land available for purchase. Ostojic Group is currently seeking experienced QA ENGINEER to join our team on a full time and permanent basis.

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS / EXPERIENCE

- Essential Hold a current C Class Driver's Licence
- Possess a Nationally Recognised Construction Induction Card (White Card)
- Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in civil construction, with a robust preference for experience in subdivisions and/or roadworks
- Excellent communication and time management skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in reading and interpreting contract documentation and construction drawings
- Demonstrated experience in contract administration and management of subcontractors
- Proven capability in the implementation and ongoing use of Project Management Systems
- Desirable First Aid Training
- Fire Warden Training

GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Develop, review, and contribute to project plans, construction methodologies, technical drawings, specifications, and cost estimates
- Plan and oversee daily site operations to ensure alignment with project requirements, timelines, and safety standards
- Coordinate procurement and manage timely delivery of materials, plant, and equipment in accordance with site and subcontractor needs
- Liaise with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and regulatory bodies to facilitate smooth project delivery
- Conduct site surveys, inspections, and risk assessments to identify constraints and ensure WHS and environmental compliance
- Monitor project progress,



track milestones, and provide regular updates to clients, management, and key stakeholders
- Support cost control, budgeting processes, and identification of variations and project risks
- Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation including reports, QA records, ITPs, as-built drawings, and contract documentation
- Participate in project meetings, performance reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Assist with the planning and execution of civil works including roads, bridges, buildings, and infrastructure projects
- Ensure all work meets relevant codes, standards, contract specifications, and IMS (Integrated Management System) requirements
- Represent the company in a professional and respectful manner, maintaining a neat appearance and fit-for-work attitude
- Care for and correctly use company equipment, vehicles, and resources, maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Take responsibility for personal safety and that of others, complying with all Ostojic Group HSEQ standards and procedures
- Immediately report any hazards, incidents, or accidents, and wear required PPE appropriately
- Undertake additional duties as requested by Ostojic Group Management within your capabilities
- Assist the Compliance Manager with quality assurance implementation and WHS risk assessments
- Participate in pre-start meetings, site inductions, inspections, audits, and emergency response drills
- Attend required HSEQ training sessions and support the development of SWMS and other WHS documentation
- Manage quality control and compliance with project-specific and IMS requirements
- Identify and resolve engineering or construction issues to maintain project quality and timelines
- Ensure completion of ITPs, corrective actions, and all required documentation for client handover
- Promote effective communication and coordination across project teams to uphold safety, quality, and environmental standards
- Complete all training as required associated with your position

Salary: $100,000 per annum +Super
