Alice Springs
Junior Project Co-Ordinator / Assistant Project Manager
Build More Than Projects – Build Your Career
At Scope Building NT, we don't just construct buildings—we develop people.
We're looking for an ambitious, motivated individual who wants to transition from the tools into project management. This is a unique opportunity to work alongside one of the Territory's most experienced construction professionals, gaining hands-on mentoring and exposure to every stage of commercial construction.
If you've spent several years in the trade, enjoy solving problems, and are looking for a long-term career beyond the tools, we'd like to hear from you.
About the Role
This is a diverse, fast-paced role where no two days are the same. You'll become an integral part of our Alice Springs operations, supporting project delivery across multiple commercial construction projects.
Initially, your focus will be on assisting with the day-to-day coordination of projects, logistics, materials, and site support. As your experience grows, you'll progressively take on greater responsibility in project planning, procurement, subcontractor coordination, and site management.
This position offers genuine career progression into project management for the right person.
Your Responsibilities
Depending on project requirements, your duties may include:
Collecting and delivering materials, tools and equipment between suppliers, yard and project sites.
Coordinating deliveries and unloading materials.
Assisting with procurement and ordering of construction materials.
Completing material take-offs from drawings.
Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors.
Attending project meetings and site inspections.
Participating in tender site visits.
Coordinating plant, equipment and crane lifts.
Supporting site supervisors and project managers with programming and planning.
Monitoring project progress and assisting with site administration.
Managing short-term site responsibilities when required.
Helping maintain a safe, organised and productive work setting.
About You
We're looking for someone who is eager to learn, takes ownership of their work, and enjoys the variety that construction offers.
Ideally you will have:
5–6 years' experience in a building trade or construction environment.
A strong understanding of commercial construction practices.
Knowledge of building materials and construction methods.
Excellent organisational and communication skills.
The ability to think ahead and solve problems independently.
A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Confidence working both independently and within a team.
A commitment to safety and quality.
Desirable Qualifications
Current Driver's Licence.
HR Truck Licence (or willingness to obtain).
White Card.
Why Join Scope Building NT?
This is more than just another construction job.
You'll receive direct mentoring from experienced project managers and gain practical exposure to every aspect of commercial construction—from estimating and procurement through to project delivery and client management.
This role is ideal for someone who wants to step away from full-time trade work and build a long-term career in construction management.
We offer:
Genuine career progression.
One-on-one mentoring and professional development.
Exposure to a wide variety of commercial projects.
A supportive and experienced team environment.
Long-term employment opportunities.
The chance to help shape some of Central Australia's most significant construction projects.
If you're motivated, reliable, and ready to take the next step in your construction career, we'd love to hear from you.
