Southaven Day Centre in Bentleigh is welcoming volunteers to support our growing community across several roles.

We value reliability, kindness and clear communication. Previous experience is welcome, but not necessary, we provide guidance & support.

Day Centre Activity Support Volunteer

Due to increased client numbers, we are seeking 2 additional volunteers to support our team.

Preferred availability between Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday (please choose one of the following options specifying which day suits best):

Full day

- 9:00am to 3:00pm

Half day

- Morning: 9:00am to 12:30pm
- Afternoon: 12:30pm to 3:00pm

What you’ll be doing

- Supporting clients throughout the day centre program
- Assisting with general activities (e.g. games/art & craft/light exercise) and engagement
- Providing calm, respectful and consistent support
- Helping maintain a safe and welcoming environment

Who this role suits

This role is ideal for volunteers who have:

- Previous experience in a day centre, healthcare, aged care or disability support role, or
- Experience in a similar volunteering environment
- Available during weekdays
- Working with Children Check is appreciated but not essential.

Entertainment Volunteer

We are seeking Entertainment Volunteers who enjoy bringing joy, energy or calm activities to others.

- All types of performances and entertainment are welcome
- Days and times are versatile and can be discussed

This role suits people who enjoy sharing their talents in a relaxed and supportive environment.
