JC Karriers is seeking an experienced Warehouse/Forklift Operator to join our growing team at our Woombye facility. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment where efficiency, safety and teamwork are paramount. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth operation of our distribution centre, managing inventory, and maintaining the high standards that our customers expect from JC Karriers.
What you'll be doing
1. Operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently to move, stack, and organise goods throughout the warehouse
2. Loading and unloading trucks, trailers and containers in compliance with safety regulations and company procedures
3. Performing inventory checks and maintaining accurate records of stock levels and warehouse movements
4. Labelling goods as required, ensuring proper organisation and easy identification
5. Maintaining a clean, safe and organised warehouse environment, including regular housekeeping and spill management
6. Following all health and safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and reporting hazards or incidents
7. Assisting with order picking and packing to ensure timely dispatch of goods to customers
8. Communicating effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate warehouse operations
9. Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance warehouse efficiency and safety
What we're looking for
1. A valid forklift licence or High-Risk Work Licence (HRWL) for forklift operation
2.
Proven experience operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment in a busy distribution environment
3. Excellent attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate inventory records
4. Physical fitness and ability to perform manual handling tasks regularly throughout the shift
5. Reliability, punctuality and a strong commitment to workplace safety
6. Valuable communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively
7. Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet operational deadlines
