About the Role

Join Tokyo Food’s dynamic Melbourne team in a hands-on warehouse role that offers robust operational exposure and room to grow. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes ownership of their responsibilities, and wants to develop a deep understanding of warehouse operations with the goal of stepping into a future leadership position.

You’ll begin by supporting daily warehouse tasks such as picking, packing, stock handling, and maintaining a safe and organised workspace. As you become familiar with our processes, you’ll have opportunities to take on more responsibility, contribute to workflow improvements, and support team coordination

Key responsibilities

- Prepare and pack orders accurately and efficiently in accordance with food safety protocols.
- Assist in loading delivery vans and unloading products from containers and forklifts.
- Perform stock rotation (FIFO)



to manage product expiry dates and maintain product freshness.
- Inspect incoming stock for quality, temperature compliance, and damages.
- Maintain overall organisation, cleanliness, and hygiene of the warehouse in line with food safety regulations.
- Work in temperature-controlled environments (Freezer / Chiller).
- Assist with regular inventory checks and create basic delivery/dispatch reports.

Requirements and skills
- Valid Forklift Licence (or proven experience operating a forklift)
- Full working rights in Australia
- Ability to meet physical demands, including lifting and moving items up to 25kg
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail (especially for expiry dates and order accuracy)
- Proficiency in English (Japanese language skills will be highly regarded but not essential)
- Prior experience in a warehouse, logistics, or food distribution environment is highly desirable
- Basic computer skills (experience with handheld scanners or WMS is a big plus)
