Stores Person Needed in Geebung, Brisbane!

HAYS has partnered with one of Australia's leading industrial-equipment manufacturers within the mining sector who specialises in the drilling industry. They are known for their industry expertise and being able to deliver advanced performance and products. Our client is currently seeking a store person to join their Northgate team to keep their daily operations running smoothly.
Your new role
As a Store Person, you will play an important role within the logistics team and have the following duties and responsibilities, but not limited to:
- Manage the receivables of parts from external suppliers
- Assist in the picking and packing of orders and have them ready for dispatch from the facility.
- Operate counterbalance forklift when required
- Take part in data entry for inventory control and basic computer entry
- Liaise deliveries to customers and external partners
- Assist in stock counts when required
- Responsible for receipting duties
- Carry out dispatch duties such as booking shipments via phone, online, labelling, dispatch notes & invoices when required.
- Manage warehousing consumables and replenishing when needed.
- General maintenance and housekeeping of the warehouse
- Pre-checks of the forklifts and attend toolbox meetings
- Follow safety procedures and protocols
What you'll need to succeed To be a successful candidate for our client, you must hold the following:
- High Risk Work - LF Forklift Licence
- Previous experience in warehousing or store person role
- Experience with SAP Systems HANA is highly desirable.
- Current Queensland Driver's Licence - Manual Licence highly desirable
- Previous experience with inventory management
- Great communication skills and able to collaborate with departments
- Confident in liaising with customers and external partners
- Ability to work independently

- 3 days a week to then be moved to 5 days a week
- 9.5-hour working days
