About the Role

We are currently seeking applications for a Senior Process Engineer to join the team at our Centurion underground mine, located 160 kilometres west of Mackay. Reporting to the CHPP Manager, the purpose of this role is to ensure the efficient operations of all plant and optimum product recovery to meet targets.

Key Responsibilities / Duties

- Shape CHPP performance and drive process excellence at Centurion
- Join a world-class underground mine with a 20+ year life span
- Enjoy a 9-day fortnight with flexible FIFO or DIDO options
- Provide technical support and advice to ensure a successful ramp up and ongoing operations of the processing plant
- Work closely with operational team to provide ongoing coaching to drive plant efficiency.
- Oversee the onsite lab. Ensure lab technicians and personnel support ramp up activities and maintain protected practices in operation.
- Contribute to the identification, development and delivery of process improvements and opportunities within the CHPP.
- Monitor and report on the process plants performance.
- Provide support for accurate budgets.
- Evaluate operational risks and opportunities and ensure implementation of mitigation strategies.

This position is offered on a 9-day fortnight (Monday to Friday, Monday to Thursday) roster and can allow for a residential (Moranbah) DIDO or FIFO lifestyle.

About You

- Engineering degree ideally in Mineral Processing, Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical or related discipline
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience in mineral comminution, beneficiation and solid/liquid separation technologies




- CHPP operational and technical experience
- Able to demonstrate a reasonable competence and understanding of:
- Production and maintenance management
- Control systems engineering
- Uncompromising commitment to safety

In addition to the above, you will have a genuine commitment to safety and demonstrate a sound understanding of risk and hazard identification. You will be an exceptional team member with a flexible attitude and sound work ethic.
