We are seeking an experienced and versatile Maintenance Officer to join our Building Services team and support the safe, compliant and efficient operation of our healthcare facilities.

About the Role

As a Maintenance Officer, you will be responsible for delivering a broad range of planned, preventative and reactive maintenance services across one or more TLC facilities.

This hands-on role plays an important part in maintaining a safe, comfortable and high-quality environment for residents, visitors and employees. You will work closely with site leaders, contractors and the wider Building Services team to ensure our facilities remain operational, compliant and presented to the highest standard.

As part of a regional maintenance team, flexibility to travel between sites and attend occasional after-hours works is required.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform routine, preventative and reactive maintenance across building assets and infrastructure
- Carry out general repairs including carpentry, patching, painting and basic plumbing works
- Support refurbishment projects, facility upgrades and minor renovations




- Monitor and maintain key building services, including:
- - Heating and cooling systems
- Fire protection systems
- Hydraulic and plumbing services
- Commercial kitchen equipment
- Pool facilities

- Conduct regular inspections to identify hazards, defects and maintenance requirements
- Coordinate and supervise external contractors to ensure works are completed safely and effectively
- Maintain accurate maintenance records using work order and asset management systems
- Manage inventories of tools, spare parts and consumables
- Assist with furniture relocations and general facilities support tasks
- Ensure facilities remain safe, compliant and defect-free for residents, staff and visitors

About You

You are a practical, solutions-focused maintenance professional with strong technical knowledge and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes. You take pride in your workmanship, can work independently and are comfortable managing multiple priorities across different sites.

Key attributes and Compliance Requirements

- Trade qualification (preferably Plumbing or Electrical)
- Experience in building maintenance within aged care, healthcare, commercial or similar environments
- Ability to work independently across multiple sites
- Sound knowledge of building services and maintenance practices
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities
- Commitment to safety and quality standards
- Well-developed communication and stakeholder management skills




- Current Victorian Driver Licence
- White Card
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Working with Children Check
- Evidence of current vaccinations as required by TLC Healthcare policy
- Full Australian working rights
