We are supporting a care services provider based in Darwin and surrounding areas, operating in the aged care, disability support, and community services sector. The business is known for its commitment to compassionate, respectful, and person-centred care, supporting clients to maintain their dignity, independence, wellbeing, and quality of life. With a growing team and services delivered across multiple client locations, they are seeking to fill the role of Aged or Disabled Carer.

About the Role: As an Aged or Disabled Carer, you will provide practical and emotional support to clients who are aged, living with disability, or require assistance with daily activities.

The role requires patience, respect, strong communication skills, and a genuine commitment to improving the quality of life of vulnerable clients.

Key Responsibilities

- Providing personal care support, including hygiene, grooming, dressing, toileting, and mobility assistance




- Supporting clients with daily living activities in their home and community
- Assisting with meal preparation, feeding support, and basic household tasks
- Supporting clients to attend appointments, social activities, and community participation
- Monitoring client wellbeing and reporting any changes, concerns, incidents, or risks to the supervisor
- Providing companionship and emotional support in a respectful and professional manner
- Following individual care plans, workplace policies, and NDIS-related requirements
- Maintaining accurate records, progress notes, and communication with relevant team members
- Assisting with safe manual handling and mobility support, where required
- Promoting client independence, dignity, choice, and privacy at all times

Selection Criteria

- 1. Experience providing care or support to aged persons, people with disability, or vulnerable clients
- 2. A caring, patient, respectful, and reliable approach to client support
- 3. Good communication skills and ability to follow care instructions
- 4. Ability to assist with personal care and daily living tasks
- 5. Understanding of confidentiality, duty of care, and client dignity
- 6. Ability to work independently and as part of a small care team
- 7. Flexibility to work across different shifts, including weekends where required
- 8. Commitment to safe work practices, infection control, and client wellbeing

Required Experience and Qualifications

- Minimum 1–2 years of relevant care/support experience preferred
- Relevant qualification in aged care, disability support, individual support, community services, or similar field is preferred but not mandatory
- Current

First Aid and CPR certificate, or willingness to obtain

- NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willingness to obtain
- National Police Check, or willingness to obtain
- Driver licence and access to reliable transport is preferred
- Full working rights in Australia
