Kakadu Tourism We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Chef to join our Kitchen team in assisting with kitchen operations, in delivering excellent products and services to our guests. Task & responsibilities
- Work closely with the Executive Chef to assist to ensure smooth and efficient kitchen operations
- Contribute to, and assist in supervision of kitchen operations to ensure food quality, consistency and presentation standards are met including Menu planning
- Estimating food and labour costs for sustainability and profitability
- Ordering supplies
- Supervise kitchen operations, ensuring food quality, hygiene regulations, consistency and presentation standards are met.
Qualification & experience
- A commercial cookery qualification with previous experience working in a hotel or restaurant environment for at least 3 years post-apprenticeship.
- Experience providing quality food and presentation of all dishes
- Knowledge of WHS and food safety policies and procedures
- Relevant food preparation and service knowledge
- The ability to work unsupervised with excellent time management skills.
