Role Description

The Lead Chef is a full-time, in office role based in Fremantle, WA, responsible for overseeing all aspects of kitchen operations at Moore & Moore Food & Drink. Day-to-day tasks include planning and executing menus, supervising food preparation and cooking, and ensuring consistent quality and presentation. The Lead Chef manages inventory, orders supplies, and upholds food safety and hygiene standards. The role involves training and mentoring kitchen team members, coordinating with front-of-house staff, and contributing to seasonal and event menus that reflect the café’s creative and welcoming atmosphere.





Most of all work well with others and create a welcoming envoroment in an open kitchen for Gests also.

Qualifications

- Strong culinary skills, including menu development, cooking techniques, and plating.
- Experience in kitchen leadership, team supervision, and staff training.
- Ability to manage inventory, cost control, and supplier relationships effectively.
- Excellent time management, organization, and problem-solving abilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with both kitchen and front-of-house teams.
- Previous experience as a Head Chef, Sous Chef, or equivalent role in café or restaurant settings.
- Culinary qualifications or relevant trade certifications are highly regarded.
- Flexibility to work weekends, public holidays, and peak service periods as required.
- Passion for seasonal, high-quality ingredients and creating a memorable guest experience.
