An established and growing fire services contractor is looking to add an experienced Sprinkler Fitter to their Melbourne team.
This is a great chance for someone with strong wet fire experience who wants to join a stable business with a solid pipeline of work across commercial, high-rise and industrial sites.
You'll be joining a supportive service team, working across a varied portfolio of clients while being given the opportunity to continue developing your technical skills.
The Role
Working across Melbourne, you'll be responsible for the service, maintenance and testing of wet fire systems, including:
- Routine inspection, testing and maintenance of sprinkler and hydrant systems
- Fault finding, repairs and minor installation works
- Fire pump sets and water supply systems
- Sprinkler, hydrant and hose reel systems
- Deluge, pre-action and wall wetting systems
- Working in accordance with relevant Australian Standards, including AS1851, AS2118, AS2419 and AS2941
- Completing service documentation and reporting
- Liaising professionally with clients and site representatives
- Ensuring all works are completed safely and to a high standard
About You
To be considered, you will ideally have:
- Trade qualification as a Sprinkler Fitter
- Current PIC licence
- Previous experience within the wet fire/service industry
- Strong knowledge of relevant Australian Standards
- Experience with sprinkler and hydrant systems
- Knowledge of fire pumps and associated water supply systems
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- A professional approach when dealing with clients
- A strong focus on safety and quality workmanship
Experience with gaseous suppression systems and fire panels would also be highly regarded.
