About the role

Join cohealth's Refugee and Asylum Seeker Program as a Women's Health and Community Midwife, delivering culturally responsive, trauma-informed care and coordinating women’s health and midwifery services for refugee and asylum seeker communities at our Fitzroy site.

Your duties include:

- Champion accessible women’s health services for under-screened and marginalised communities
- Lead community midwifery care that supports women and families through their pregnancy journey
- Make a meaningful difference by coordinating health responses for newly arrived refugees and people seeking asylum

Our ideal candidate:

- Current registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) and Midwife with AHPRA
- Extensive experience in sexual and reproductive health service delivery, including clinical care and community health promotion
- Extensive experience as a Midwife (minimum 5 years)
- Excellent cross-cultural communication skills and the ability to provide culturally
