About the Opportunity: This is a fantastic entry-level opportunity within a structured training program designed to support women into long-term careers as Operator Drivers. The successful candidate will commence as a contingent worker with Cat5 for an initial 3-month period before transitioning into the Women on Wheels program.
The Women on Wheels program is a 12-month training pathway. Participants will gain hands-on experience, supported training, and assistance in obtaining their HR licence, with the goal of securing long-term employment as an Operator Driver.
Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander woman are strongly encouraged to reply.
Key Requirements:
- Current driver's licence (minimum 2 years, no L plates)
- Must be Karratha-based with own accommodation (residential role,
no FIFO or housing provided)
- Ability to pass pre-employment medicals, including Fit2Drive assessment
- Willingness to receive required vaccinations
- Ability to pass and maintain Drug & Alcohol screening
- Ability to complete a National Police Clearance
Duties may include:
- Yard support and site-based tasks
- Basic administrative duties
- Shadowing and learning operational routes and responsibilities
- Participation in a hands-on learning environment
