As Sharon AI continues to scale, we're looking for an experienced Workplace Health & Safety Officer to help build and embed a robust safety culture across our growing Australian operations.

Working closely with our People & Culture, Facilities and Data Centre Operations teams, you'll play a hands-on role in developing, implementing and continuously improving workplace health, safety and wellbeing programs across both our corporate offices and mission-critical data centre environments.

From risk assessments and incident investigations through to compliance, training and contractor management, you'll help ensure Sharon AI provides a safe, compliant and high-performing workplace while supporting one of Australia's fastest-growing AI infrastructure businesses.

What You'll Be Doing

- Support the development, implementation and continuous improvement of Sharon AI's WHS policies, procedures and safety management systems across offices and data centre facilities.

- Conduct workplace inspections, risk assessments, hazard identification activities and safety audits across corporate and operational sites.

- Manage incident and injury reporting, investigations, root cause analysis and corrective action tracking.

- Coordinate workers' compensation claims and support employees throughout the return-to-work process.





- Deliver engaging WHS inductions, training sessions and awareness programs for employees, contractors and visitors.

- Maintain WHS registers, documentation and compliance records in accordance with legislative requirements.

- Partner with Facilities and Data Centre Operations teams to support safe systems of work, contractor management and permit-to-work processes.

- Support compliance with Australian WHS legislation, Codes of Practice and relevant Australian Standards.

- Assist with internal and external audits, including supporting ISO 45001 certification activities.

- Monitor, analyse and report on WHS metrics, trends and improvement initiatives.

- Assist with emergency preparedness, evacuation planning and response exercises.

- Promote a positive safety culture and support employee wellbeing initiatives across the business.

- Stay current with legislative changes and emerging WHS requirements, including psychosocial risk management, and provide practical guidance to the business.

What We're Looking For

- Certificate IV or Diploma in Work Health & Safety (or a related discipline), or equivalent practical experience.

- 3–5 years' experience in a WHS Officer, Advisor or Coordinator role.

- Strong knowledge of Australian Work Health & Safety legislation, regulations and Codes of Practice.

- Experience conducting workplace risk assessments, incident investigations and safety audits.

- Knowledge of workers' compensation and return-to-work processes.





- Ability to work confidently across both corporate office and operational or technical environments.

- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and training facilitation skills.

- Strong organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail.

- A proactive, practical approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.

- High levels of integrity, professionalism and discretion when handling sensitive information.

Highly Regarded

- Experience within data centres, technology, critical infrastructure or industrial environments.

- Knowledge of ISO 45001 or other recognised WHS management systems.

- Return to Work Coordinator certification (or willingness to obtain).

- First Aid and/or Mental Health First Aid certification.

- Experience using WHS management systems and incident reporting software.

- Exposure to ISO 27001, SOC 2 or other compliance frameworks.

- Knowledge of electrical safety, high-voltage environments or critical infrastructure operations.
