Sam Technology Engineers is a Smithfield NSW based jobbing work shop, manufacturing equipment for the mining, materials handling and railway industries.

We are seeking a production foreman with trade based experience in fabrication and engineering.

The applicants duties will include:

- Managing and directing the day to day work of the production team to ensure that work is carried out in a professional and timely manner by managing customer requirements and assigning jobs and resources, as required.

- Tool selection, assisting in project and job planning

- Providing ‘on the floor’ technical expertise to the production team (fabrication and fitting)

- Ensuring that the production team is motivated and managed

- Providing direction as to hours and monitoring time sheets

- Quality Assurance

- Work closely with production managers, engineers, and customers





- Monitor productivity, identify improvements, and implement solutions

- Manage material and equipment resources, liaise with supervisors on production needs and coordinate daily operations.

Required Qualifications

- Minimum 10 years experience

- Previous supervisory or lead role experience

- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

- Solid problem-solving skills and attention to detail

- Robust communication and team leadership abilities

- Commitment to workplace safety and Quality Assuarance

Preferred Skills

- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles

- Ability to train and mentor apprentices

- Experience with fabricating and welding
