About the Employer

We are supporting a reliable cleaning services business (ABN ) based in Darwin and surrounding areas, operating across commercial, residential, hospitality, aged care, and Airbnb cleaning.

The business is known for quality service, attention to detail, safety, and customer satisfaction.

They are seeking a Cleaner / Commercial Housekeeper to join their growing team, offering reliable employment, varied worksites, and a supportive work environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Clean and service guest rooms and common areas to schedule and site standards (sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, spot-cleaning).
- Make beds; change linen; restock towels and amenities (where applicable to site).
- Clean and sanitise bathrooms, kitchens and high-touch surfaces; replenish consumables.
- Empty and segregate waste; restock housekeeping trolleys and storerooms and handling lost property per policy.




- Manage basic stock levels and coordinate safe handling of cleaning chemicals; keep SDS current and accessible.
- Liaise with site contacts on service requirements and report maintenance or WHS hazards promptly.
- Operate equipment safely (e.g., commercial vacuums, microfibre/steam cleaners, pressure/steam equipment where trained).
- Adhering to cleaning schedules, room checklists and brand standards; using chemicals and equipment safely.

Selection Criteria

1. Housekeeping proficiency: recent experience across hotel rooms and/or other commercial premises; strong eye for detail and presentation.
2. WHS & chemical safety: knowledge of safe work practices and SDS-guided chemical use.
3. Time management: ability to meet room/area turnaround targets and follow run sheets/checklists.
4. Communication: clear, courteous communication with clients, guests and team members; accurate incident/maintenance reporting.
5. Equipment skills: competent with standard housekeeping tools and commercial machines (training provided where required).
6. Quality standards: consistent delivery to brand/site standards; effective self-checks and sign-offs.
7. Flexibility: capacity to work shifts, some weekends/public holidays, and rotate across multiple Darwin sites.

Required Experience and Qualifications

- 1 to 2+ years relevant commercial housekeeping/cleaning experience (multi-site preferred).
- Understanding of Commercial Cleaner task scope; safe chemical handling and WHS awareness.
- Full working rights in Australia
- Formal qualifications are not mandatory; on-the-job training evidence is valued.
