About the Role
As a Senior Pharmacy Assistant, you'll play an important role in both the retail and dispensary operations of the pharmacy while supporting the pharmacist and helping develop our junior team.
Your responsibilities will include:
Delivering exceptional customer service and professional advice on OTC medicines, vitamins, health products and general pharmacy items.
Assisting the dispensary with stock management and patient service.
Maintaining attractive merchandising and high store presentation standards.
Managing stock ordering, inventory control and replenishment.
Training, coaching and supporting junior pharmacy assistants.
Operating POS systems accurately and efficiently.
Assisting with promotional campaigns and seasonal merchandising.
Ensuring compliance with pharmacy legislation,
workplace procedures and health and safety requirements.
Working collaboratively with the team to establish efficient systems and processes in our new pharmacy.
About You
To be successful in this role, you'll have:
Certificate III or IV in Community Pharmacy (essential).
At least 2 years' experience working in a community pharmacy.
Strong knowledge of OTC products and Schedule 2 & 3 medicines.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Confidence working in a busy retail environment.
Experience mentoring or supporting junior team members.
Robust organisational skills and attention to detail.
A positive attitude with a willingness to learn and contribute.
Flexibility to work weekdays, weekends and public holidays as required.
