Job Description
Support the delivery of Council's Health, Safety and Wellbeing initiatives by providing efficient, confidential administrative support to the Team Manager and broader team. You'll assist in developing and maintaining systems, interpreting and applying relevant policies and processes, and ensuring services are delivered accurately and in line with organisational standards. This role also requires clear and skilled communication with internal and external stakeholders, contributing to a positive and collaborative team environment.
You'll play a key role in improving administrative processes, particularly around training coordination, with a focus on creating simpler and more efficient practices. The position involves contributing to projects, developing procedures and documentation, and managing your workload with minimal direction. With a strong focus on continuous improvement, you'll help ensure team operations remain effective, streamlined and fit for purpose.

About the Candidate
Certificate IV in Business or relevant administrative experience
Experience supporting health, safety or training functions (large org preferred)
Strong knowledge of administrative processes and office procedures
Ability to interpret and apply legislation, policies and procedures
Working knowledge of WHS and Local Government legislation
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office and business systems
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to prioritise, organise and manage workload effectively
Problem-solving and analytical skills
Team-oriented with ability to contribute to team outcomes
Current QLD "C" Class Driver's Licence
