About The Role

- As a CBRE Data Center Technician,you will play a crucial role in maintaining the operational integrity of our critical infrastructure.
- You will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance and corrective repairs within a data center operation, ensuring the seamless operation of critical systems. Oversight of electrical and mechanical systems, including but not limited to: Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems, generators, chillers, Electrical Distribution, HVAC systems,



Building Management Systems (BMS) systems, and CMMS Work Dispatching.
- This position is part of the Critical and Technical Services job function, focusing on delivering technical maintenance services in high-stakes client environments

What You’ll Do

- Conduct daily site inspections of all Mechanical & Engineering systems and technical equipment, including servicing and maintenance tasks.
- Ensure that the site's environmental conditions are conducive to a safe and efficient work environment.
- Respond promptly to Building Management System alarms and perform emergency repairs as necessary.
- Collaborate with third-party vendors to ensure compliance with company-developed processes, procedures, and all applicable laws and regulations.
- Notify management if subcontractor performance does not meet the requirements outlined in the Master Service Agreement
- Execute planned preventative maintenance (PM) and reactive maintenance on all equipment.
- Monitor the Building Management System for running and alarm conditions, addressing HVAC-related client issues.
- Perform building walkthroughs, taking meter readings from UPS, PDUs, and utilities.
- Address facility and plant faults and defects with effective solutions.
- Complete assigned work following established processes and procedures, adhering to all safety protocols and regulatory requirements. Conduct routine quality checks to maintain comprehensive maintenance records.
- Complete all required training to ensure the successful completion of job-related responsibilities.
- Utilize existing procedures to solve straightforward problems, with limited discretion.
- Impact through clearly defined duties, methods, and tasks are described in detail.
- Deliver results by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance.

What You'll need:

- Must understand all the associated safety code related requirements relative to providing the service. Experience with Health & Safety Risk Assessments and Control Measures
- Experience of maintaining critical & temperature control conditioned environments
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in maintaining critical and temperature controlled environments is required
- Detailed understanding and experience of the electrical and mechanical systems used in a data center environment, including Feeders, Transformers, Generators, Fuel Systems, Switchgear, UPS systems, Battery banks, ATS/STS units, PDU/PMM units, Air handling units, chilled water systems, Fire Alarm systems, and Fire Suppression systems (pre-action sprinklers).
- Prior exposure to maintenance scheduling and subcontractor management and supervision
- Strong understanding of ticketing or workflow management systems and tools
- Experience of managing escalation and emergency issues
- ARC License is required. Minimum Certificate III Electrotechnology Airconditioning & Refrigeration
- Good building services knowledge
- Good Customer relationship skills
- Working knowledge of "Permit to work" systems
- Understand and interpret technical drawings / processes
- Experience of CMMS and BMS systems
