Advanced Project Engineer – Brisbane

Location: Brisbane

As an Advanced Project Engineer, you are responsible for leading the engineering delivery of projects for the team, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, managing engineering outputs, and, where appropriate, sourcing and managing subcontractors for specialist engineering consultancy outside of Building Automation expertise.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate as lead engineer for project(s)
- Electronic security systems engineering, implementation, integration, and documentation
- Delivery of project engineering requirements within budget, scope, and schedule
- Provision of technical direction and support of project team members, including planning / scheduling and quality assurance
- Work on requirements and ensure the final design is compliant with the requirement metrics
- Understanding and implementing Australian and international standards during the design process
- Ensure the team operates within health and safety standards

Key Experience & Capabilities

- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or mechatronics




- Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in electronic security
- Expertise in electronic security systems engineering (hardware and software)
- Solid understanding of high‑end security applications, including CCTV, access control, intruder detection, intercom systems, integration platforms, and others
- Either registered or pursuing skilled engineer in QLD (ideal)
- Work independently to drive project execution as the key local customer contact
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Analytical, able to work on complexity and under pressure
- Pro‑active and self‑sufficient
- Health and safety consciousness
