About the opportunity
We have an incredible opportunity for an experienced Support Worker to join a small supportive and inclusive team in providing quality support to our clients. We offer carer support services, homeless outreach, and registered services. As a passionate Support Worker, you will be responsible for the direct delivery of services. You will use a person-centered approach to provide individual support and practical assistance to participants to assist them in achieving their goals.
To be successful in this role You're a passionate, empathetic, and caring individual who is looking to make an invaluable positive impact on the lives of others. You enjoy challenges and current experiences. You're calm, collected, and resilient in the face of adversity and are looking to carry these qualities with you to the front line to start helping those in need. You are an independent, proactive thinker and worker but are also able to follow directions given by your managers and can work within a tight-knit team.
- Relevant qualifications or commensurate experience in working in a support role for people with disability and/or mental health issues, generally a Certificate IV qualification or above.
- Lived experience of Mental Health Recovery
- Current valid Driver’s License and the ability to undertake travel for the role
- Current Working with Children Check and NDIS Workers Screening Check
- Right to Work within Australia
- First Aid & CPR Certificate
- Satisfactory National Police Records Check
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate
