About the role

As a Digital Architect within the Technology Office you will be responsible for shaping the architecture that powers the experiences used by our members, employers, and financial advisers, as well as the internal teams that support and enable them. Working across enterprise and solution architecture, you'll partner closely with business, technology, and delivery leaders to define technology direction, influence business and delivery decisions, and ensure solutions align with CBUS's long-term objectives.

This is a pivotal role that spans the full architecture lifecycle, continuously moving between strategy, design, and delivery. You’ll refine technology strategy with senior leaders, guide cross-functional teams through design, and stay connected to engineering teams through implementation and support. As an influential leader in modern and progressive technology culture, you will play an important role driving architecture innovation, uplifting technologies, processes, and practices, and ensure technology investments deliver valuable outcomes for our members.

Key Accountabilities

- Develop and evolve architecture strategies, principles, standards, and practices that align technology outcomes with business objectives.
- Maintain explicit views of business capabilities, application portfolios, and technology landscapes to support strategic decision-making.




- Govern solution architecture and provide leadership to internal teams and delivery partners to ensure fit-for-purpose outcomes.
- Lead technology assessments and support vendor selection activities by aligning business and technical requirements.
- Drive technology roadmap execution and continuous improvement across architecture and engineering practices.

What will you bring?

- Strong business and technology acumen with experience across both enterprise and solution architecture.
- Expertise in digital architecture supporting customer-facing and assisted service channels, including cloud, data, and integration technologies.
- Experience working with platforms such as CRM, CMS, marketing, and other business applications within complex environments.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, influencing and problem-solving skills with the ability to guide aligned decision-making.
- Proven success partnering with business and technology stakeholders in agile environments and working closely with engineering teams to deliver outcomes.
