About the role
Reporting to the Head of Finance, the finance manager is responsible for ensuring that the day to day running of Finance is in adherence with Policy and expectations and the delivery of Financial Accounting information is accurate and timely.

Minimum of 5 years' experience in foreign bank industry in Australia

Solid Financial Industry product knowledge

Strong understanding of APRA reporting standard

Skills required

CA or CPA qualified with strong technical knowledge in IAS/AASB standards

Bachelor's or master's degree in finance, Accounting or equivalent subject

APRA reporting experiences

Positive attitude to working in a highly technical environment

Strong attention to detail and timely delivery of accurate work

Must be fluent in English and Mandarin.

Duties and Responsibilities

1.Governance

- Establish, develop and maintain all policies related to the Financial Accounting area
- Manage and execute Head Office policies as they relate to Finance or Financial Accounting




- Complete the monthly reporting of Financial Accounts under IAS
- Complete monthly/quarterly/semi-annual/annual reporting to regulators (APRA/ABS)
- Reconcile financial results to APRA reporting
- Respond to queries from the business or management
- Set up appropriate balance sheet GL accounts in line with HO requirements or product structure
- Manage reconciliation of on-balance sheet accounts
- Understand the key drivers of the balance sheet including Risk Weighted Assets, tax considerations and product structures
- Prepare manual G/Ls if required

3.Management Accounting

- Produce Budgets at least annually or more frequently if required
- Produce KPI and other internal targets as agreed
- Product monthly management accounts against annual budget
- Manage and monitor the analysis of the P&L; with explanations for fluctuations
- Prepare Ad hoc analysis reports

4.Systems and other areas

- Understand how the system books, records and reports information related to products
- Work with other areas of the bank on new products and UAT
- Work to develop any new systems or tools to improve the reporting from Finance
- Work with internal and external auditors
- Complete policy, procedure and control documents
- Assisting with training staff where appropriate
- Ad hoc tasks
