Command Group is seeking a Recruitment Specialist in Healthcare / Nursing Recruitment to join our growing healthcare team. This is a full-time position based in Sydney CBD. As a Recruitment Specialist, you will play a crucial role in identifying, attracting, and placing highly qualified nursing professionals with our clients. This position is integral to our recruitment operations, directly impacting our ability to connect top nursing talent with healthcare organisations and facilities .
You will be at the forefront of our nursing placement strategy, building relationships with both hiring managers and nurses to ensure successful placements that benefit all parties.
Key responsibilities
- Build and nurture long-term relationships with hospitals, healthcare facilities, and nursing candidates
- Coordinate with clients to understand their specific nursing staffing needs, team dynamics, and workplace requirements
- Source, screen, and interview qualified nursing candidates through various recruitment channels, including job boards, social media, professional networks, and direct outreach
- Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of nursing professionals across different specialisations and experience levels
- Conduct thorough candidate assessments to evaluate qualifications, experience, cultural fit, and suitability for specific nursing roles
- Present shortlisted candidates to clients with tailored candidate profiles and recommendations
- Manage the end-to-end placement process, from initial candidate contact through to job offer and onboarding
- Provide market intelligence and recruitment advice to clients regarding nursing sector trends, salary expectations, and availability
- Track recruitment metrics and maintain detailed records of all candidate interactions and placements
- Collaborate with the broader recruitment team to meet placement targets and business objectives
What we're looking for
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with both candidates and clients
- Proven experience in nursing recruitment or healthcare staffing, ideally from a recruitment agency environment
- Strong knowledge of the nursing profession, including different nursing specialisations, qualifications, and career pathways
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple placements simultaneously whilst maintaining attention to detail
- Proficiency with recruitment software, applicant tracking systems (ATS), and Microsoft Office applications
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced workplace
- Understanding of employment law and best practices in recruitment compliance
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cooperative team
- Passion for supporting healthcare professionals and contributing to quality staffing solutions
- Preferred: Experience with nursing recruitment databases or healthcare staffing platforms
