Groote Eylandt is Australia's largest Manganese mining operation, and under the arrangement WorkPac will provide Industrial and Professional employees to help drive productivity and growth across all facets of the operation.
What you will be doing:
We are currently seeking experienced Haulage Operators to join the GEMCO mining operation, responsible for the safe and efficient transport of ore across site using Kenworth road trains.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-performing team within a well-established operation, offering consistent FIFO rosters and strong safety culture.
- Operate Kenworth 18-speed road trains in a safe and productive manner
- Conduct thorough pre-start inspections and promptly report defects
- Adhere to mine plans, site traffic rules, and operational procedures
- Safely transport ore to designated dump locations
- Maintain accurate production and equipment records
- Uphold GEMCO’s safety, environmental, and operational standards
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and other operators to meet daily production targets
What you will need:
- Minimum 4 years’ experience operating road trains in a mining or similar environment
- Proven experience with 18-speed Road Ranger gearboxes
- Loader and Grader experience highly regarded but not essential
- Strong commitment to safety and situational awareness in active mining areas
- Ability to work effectively within a team in a high-paced production environment
- Must be able to complete a full medical and DAS and a national police clearance
