Job Description Role
- Work within the Sydney infrastructure team alongside experienced professionals and assist them in various day-to-day tasks
- Participate in complex financial modeling and highlight key issues for various potential investment opportunities that may be suitable for consideration by CDPQ
- Collaborate in assessing the valuation of potential investments aligned with CDPQ's investment strategy, using various methodologies as required (DDM, multiple, etc.)
- Participate in the drafting of papers and supporting documents that will be presented to CDPQ investment committee
- Participate in the coordination of due diligence workstreams
- Prepare internal and external reports (transaction tracking, market highlights, ad hoc presentations) in a timely manner
- Proactively monitor news and gather information from key sources
- Produce targeted sectoral studies (portfolio companies or potential markets)
- Assist in the management of portfolio companies
Requirements
- Prior experience in investment banking, project finance, private equity or consulting
- Dynamic, curious, rigorous with strong analytical abilities and valuable interpersonal skills
- Financially numerate with positive Microsoft Office skills as well as Bloomberg and Capital IQ
- Writing and verbal fluency in English and preferably French
- Although Australian resident candidates would be preferred, other applicants who already obtained a student pass with the right to work in Sydney for the duration of the internship would be considered
