St John of God Murdoch Hospital
is one of the leading private health campuses in Western Australia, and major health care hub in the southern region. Offering 507-beds, services include an emergency department, operating theatres, endoscopy suites, birth suite and maternity ward, medical library and education center.
Your role
St John of God Murdoch Hospital is seeking an experienced and visionary Director Corporate Services to provide strategic and operational leadership across a diverse portfolio of corporate services functions spanning St John of God Murdoch Hospital and the Midwest Region.
As a key member of the Hospital Executive Team and Divisional Management Committee, you will play a critical role in shaping organisational strategy, driving operational performance and leading transformational change.
This is a unique opportunity to lead a diverse corporate services portfolio, driving innovation, performance and service excellence in support of exceptional patient care and caregiver experience.
The Position:
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Director Corporate Services, ensures the delivery of high-quality, efficient and customer-focused services that support exceptional patient care and organisational outcomes.
- Provide strategic and operational leadership across Corporate Services.
- Contribute to executive decision-making and the achievement of hospital strategic objectives.
- Lead the planning, implementation and evaluation of operational and service improvement initiatives.
- Develop and oversee annual operational plans, budgets and performance targets across the portfolio.
- Drive financial sustainability through effective resource planning, budget management and performance monitoring.
- Lead organisational change initiatives that enhance service delivery, operational efficiency and business performance.
- Develop workforce strategies that support caregiver engagement, capability, recruitment and retention.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve strategic and operational outcomes.
- Oversee contract management processes and ensure effective governance across the division.
The ideal candidate will be a highly accomplished and strategic leader with tertiary qualifications in business, commerce or a related discipline, and significant senior management experience within a healthcare or hospital-based corporate services environment. You will have a proven track record of developing and delivering strategic and operational objectives while successfully leading organisational change and complex projects.
You will bring exceptional strategic thinking, analytical capability and commercial acumen, enabling you to identify opportunities, solve complex challenges and drive sustainable business outcomes. Your ability to communicate,
negotiate and influence effectively at all levels will be critical to building strong stakeholder relationships and achieving organisational goals.
You will be a collaborative and inspiring leader with the ability to build high-performing teams, drive continuous improvement and deliver excellent organisational outcomes. Passionate about developing people and fostering a culture of accountability and service excellence, you will lead with integrity and ensure patient care remains at the heart of every decision, while actively supporting the Mission and Values of St John of God Health Care.
