The Acute Neuroscience Unit at John Hunter Hospital is seeking an Enrolled Nurse to join our specialised team caring for patients with complex neurological, neurosurgical and acute stroke conditions.
Our dynamic 32-bed unit, including 10 Close Observation beds and 22 General Ward beds, offers the opportunity to develop specialist skills while working alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team dedicated to providing exceptional patient care. Your Career with Acute Neuroscience
As an Enrolled Nurse within the Acute Neuroscience Unit, you will provide safe, patient-centred care while working alongside a skilled multidisciplinary team. This role offers the opportunity to develop specialist skills, grow your clinical confidence and expand your knowledge within a supportive environment focused on teamwork, learning and professional development. About
You: We are seeking a compassionate and adaptable Enrolled Nurse who is committed to delivering high-quality patient care and enjoys working within a supportive, multidisciplinary team environment. To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate: Current registration as an Enrolled Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
The ability to prioritise workloads and manage competing demands in a fast-paced clinical environment.
The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. A commitment to delivering safe, compassionate and patient-centred care.
Flexibility and adaptability to work across a seven-day rotating roster. Previous experience in Neuroscience or Neurosurgical nursing is highly regarded but is not essential. Support and education will be provided to help you develop your skills and confidence within this specialised clinical area.
