Job Description

Other Draftsperson - Architecture Technician At Big Spoon Art Services Pty Ltd, we are looking for a full time (at least 38 hours per week) skilled Architecture Technician to perform the following duties: Responsibilities

- Prepare detailed drawings, plans, maps, and illustrations according to client specifications, industry standards, and relevant regulations.
- Use CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino, or equivalent) and other drafting tools to produce accurate and precise technical drawings and plans for design development and fabrication.
- Consult with clients and collaborate with engineers, artists, and other professionals to ensure drawings and plans meet project requirements, creative vision, and structural feasibility.
- Translate conceptual designs into buildable documentation, including layouts, sections, and technical details.
- Create 3D models and visualisations to support internal review, fabrication, and client presentations.
- Prepare material specifications, fabrication instructions,



and installation schematics in alignment with public art production processes.
- Assist in estimating material quantities, costs, and timelines through accurate take-offs and measurements.
- Provide technical support during the installation phase, including on-site adjustments and coordination.
- Participate in quality control to ensure consistency between design intent and final execution.
- Maintain organised project documentation and version control within the project management system.

Requirements

- Master’s degree in architecture required
- At least 1 year of experience in the relevant role.
- Solid attention to detail and spatial awareness.
- Collaborative approach, with excellent communication and documentation skills.
