This is a fixed term full time vacancy available for three (3) months with a possibility of extension and/or permanency, subject to business requirements.

About the role

The Administration Assistant provides financial and administrative support to the Senior Management Team. The position also provides general administrative support to the Financial and Human Resources areas and is responsible for the provision of secretarial support as required.

Suitability Requirements

Through the recruitment process, we will be looking for candidates who can demonstrate skills, experience and attributes in relation to the following:

1. Communicates and Influences Effectively - The ability to explain information using language appropriate to the client while limiting the use of jargon, listen and ask questions to ensure understanding and to confirm that the message has been understood and to discuss issues calmly.
2. Achieve Results - The ability to see tasks through to completion; rescheduling and reorganising work to reflect changes in priority. Applies own expertise to work tasks, learn recent products and services and maintain accurate records and file.
3. Ability to write accurate reports, perform data entry and retrieval and collate information/statistics.

Eligibility

To be eligible for appointment to permanent positions in the West Australian Public Sector you must be an Australian citizen or have permanent resident status in Australia.

3. Please provide a statement of no more than one (1) page addressing the following Suitability Requirements below as listed in the section above. Please provide examples to support your claims.

- Ability to write accurate reports, perform data entry and retrieval and collate information/statistics.

The Suitability Requirements outlined in points two (2) and three (3) listed in the section above will be assessed at a later stage in the recruitment process.

Subsequent Vacancies

Applicants found suitable but not recommended for this vacancy, may be considered for subsequent similar vacancies for a period of twelve (12) months, in accordance with section 7d of the Commissioner’s Instructions No.48 – Recruitment, Selection and Appointment to Permanent Vacancies,



and section 9d of the Commissioner Instructions 49 - Recruitment, Selection and Appointment to Fixed Term Vacancies. Permanent, fixed term, full time and part time appointments may be offered at Perth Metropolitan area during this period.
