About the role
Thrive Physio & Rehab, a provider of physiotherapy and rehabilitation services in the St George / Sutherland Shire area, is seeking an experienced Community Physiotherapist to join our team. This part-time or contract role, offering 3+ days per week with flexibility and potential towards a full time position. The role involves delivering high quality, patient centred physiotherapy to age care clients in their homes and within the community.
What you'll be doing
- Take thorough subjective and objective assessments to identify clients' physiotherapy needs and develop tailored treatment plans
- Deliver hands on physiotherapy treatments to help clients improve mobility, reduce pain, and enhance their overall quality of life
- Plan and instruct tailored exercise programs targeting balance, strength, and cardiovascular and respiratory rehabilitation.
- Collaborate with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless and coordinated care
- Maintain detailed client records and documentation in accordance with professional and organisational standards
What we're looking for
- Degree in Physiotherapy and current general registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Minimum 1 years experience as a physiotherapist in Australia
- A valid driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to communicate in a second language especially Hindi, Greek, Arabic or Mandarin/Cantonese is strongly preferred
- Strong clinical reasoning and problem solving skills to tailor interventions to individual client needs. Good understanding of geriatrics and neurological rehabilitation
- Proficient in the use of various physiotherapy modalities and equipment including knowledge on assistive aid / mobility device
