Regional Link Support Services is looking for skilled and reliable Support Workers to join our team in a casual role.

- 15–25 hours per week, depending on availability

- Classification at Social and Community Services Level 2.1 to 2.4, depending on qualifications, prior experience, and the duties of the role

Regional Link Support Services provides disability supports to participants throughout Far North Queensland, including the Atherton Tablelands, Greater Cairns Region, and remote communities.

About the role:

The Support Worker provides direct supports to participants in a protected, respectful, person-centred and practical way. The role supports participants to work towards their goals, maintain dignity, exercise choice and control, and participate in daily routines and community life.

This role reports to the Direct Supports Team Leader.

Supports may include:

- personal care

- daily living assistance

- household tasks

- community access

- transport support





- completing shift notes, handover, and other required documentation

- reporting incidents, risks, injuries, complaints, safeguarding concerns, and changes in participant needs

The role also requires workers to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries, follow Regional Link policies and procedures, and participate in induction, training, supervision, and continuous improvement activities.

To be successful in this role, you will have

Essential:

- Current First Aid and CPR

- Ability to provide supports safely and respectfully within role, training, and competence

- Ability to communicate clearly and maintain accurate records

- Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance

- Blue Card / Working with Children Check

- Current driver licence and a reliable vehicle

- Experience providing direct support to people with disability or other people requiring daily support

- Right to work in Australia

Desirable:

- Certificate III in Individual Support, Disability, Community Services, or similar, or evidence of a similar level of relevant skills and experience

- Experience working independently in home and community-based settings

- Experience supporting participants with complex needs, mobility support, or higher-risk environments
