We have up to 300 positions available for harvest workers on Banana, Avocado, Mango & Melon farms in Atherton/Mareeba/Tolga QLD Work is due to start August 2026 and is expected to go for 6-9 months You will be paid as a Level 1, Casual Employee under the Horticultural Award 2020 (MA000028).
Hourly or Piece Rates may apply. There may be an opportunity to undertake training and upskilling in this role, which can allow your remuneration to increase as per the levels in the Horticultural Award 2020 (MA000028 The position is for a harvest worker on a Banana, Avocado, Mango & Melon farms and will include but not limited to tasks such as picking, packing and planting Bananas, Avocados, Mangos and Melons
This position requires the availability for shift work over a 7-day roster. Minimum of 30 hours a week, 6.30am-4.30pm though at times this may change due to the seasonal needs of the business. Please note that random drug & alcohol testing may be conducted.

- Attention to detail
- Positive hand-eye co-ordination
- Ability to follow detailed instructions
- Ability to work continuously at a high level of concentration
- Must be physically fit, agile, able to stand for long periods & carry heavy loads of banana bunches
- Applications from outside the area must be able to show a commitment to moving to the location for the duration of employment
