Located in the heart of Leederville, Aranmore Catholic College is a co-educational K-12 school committed to providing a holistic Catholic education that nurtures the intellectual, spiritual, social and emotional development of each student.

The Head of Learning Diversity is an exciting new role, created to support our ongoing growth as a recently amalgamated College. The Head of Learning Diversity is responsible for leading and overseeing the College’s inclusive education practices and the provision of support for students with diverse learning needs. This role champions equitable access to curriculum, learning opportunities, and wellbeing support, ensuring every student is able to achieve their personal best within a Catholic learning environment.

The successful applicant will be an outstanding and innovative educator who actively engages with staff in implementing the College’s Vision and Mission.

About the Role

The Head of Learning Diversity plays a key leadership role in guiding and strengthening the College’s inclusive education practices. This position oversees the provision of support for students with diverse learning needs and promotes equitable access to curriculum, learning opportunities, and wellbeing support, ensuring every student is able to achieve their personal best within a Catholic learning environment.

As a member of the School Improvement Team, the Head of Learning Diversity provides strategic direction in disability inclusion, learning intervention, differentiation, EALD support, the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD), Individual Education Plans (IEPs), and compliance with relevant legislation and CEWA requirements.

Working closely with College leaders, teachers, support staff, students, families, and external agencies, the Head of Learning Diversity fosters a culture of inclusion, belonging, and excellence. The successful applicant will be an outstanding and creative educator who actively supports staff in enacting the College’s Vision and Mission.

This is an ongoing position commencing in Term 1, 2027.

Key Responsibilities

- Support and promote the Catholic ethos, mission and values of Aranmore Catholic College
- Demonstrate leadership grounded in Gospel values and Catholic social teaching




- Foster an inclusive culture that recognises the dignity and potential of every learner
- Lead curriculum access and inclusive education practices across the College
- Ensure alignment with the Western Australian Curriculum and College priorities
- Drive high‑quality teaching, assessment, reporting and evidence‑based practice
- Lead learning intervention, differentiation, EALD support, IEPs and NCCD processes
- Oversee transition planning and wellbeing support for students with additional needs
- Mentor, develop and support staff to build a high‑performing Learning Diversity team
- Collaborate with leaders, teachers, families and external agencies to strengthen inclusion and student outcomes
- Manage the Learning Diversity budget and ensure responsible stewardship of College resources
- Prepare reports, analyse data and provide recommendations to College Leadership to support planning, accountability and continuous improvement

Qualifications & Requirements

- Current registration with the Teachers Registration Board of Western Australia (TRBWA)
- Have completed or have made progress towards completing Accreditation for Middle Leaders in Catholic Schools




- Minimum five years relevant educational experience (or equivalent exposure in education sector leadership)
- Current Working with Children Check
- Commitment to CEWA Child‑Safe Framework
