Job Location: Osborne Naval Shipyard - SA. This role will be in office at the Osborne Naval Shipyard with opportunity to work a 9-day fortnight.

Role Description

As the Practitioner Project Manager, you'll be at the forefront of operations with a hands-on approach, working alongside a team of experts to ensure that projects are successfully executed. You'll be supporting the technical, cost and schedule goals of each project, ensuring that we're always on track to deliver exceptional results.

As you build your knowledge and expertise around shipbuilding and our equipment, you'll have the opportunity to run small to medium-sized projects, putting your skills to the test and making a real impact on our operations.

Core Duties

- Support the Project Manager with planning and delivery of straightforward to complex projects
- Hands-on, actively engage stakeholders, drive projects to a successful conclusion
- Support Trade Managers in key enablement projects, which are in line with the Trade Unit Business Plan
- Define project goals and objectives, develop project plans and timelines




- Identify project risks and develop risk management plans
- Manage project budgets and track project expenses
- Assist in project resources, including personnel and equipment
- Communicate project status to stakeholders and team members

Essential Skills

- Demonstrated experience in Project Management ideally from a production or trades environment, or studying towards a Diploma in Project Management
- Ability to partner with and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to obtain the necessary deliverables
- Willingness to learn, give everything a go and ask lots of questions to expand your knowledge
- Capability to identify and solve complex problems, think critically and innovate
- Eligibility to obtain NV1 Defence security clearance
