About the role
This role supports migrants in the local region to have their humanitarian needs met by supporting the roll out and delivery of projects.
Day to day you will
- Develop and implement project plans, evaluation frameworks and reporting mechanisms, ensuring the voices and experiences of people with lived experience remain central to program design and delivery.
- Monitor project performance through effective data collection, reporting, evaluation and analysis to measure impact and support continuous improvement.
- Maintain and update policies and procedures to align with Migration Support and organisational best practice.
- Coordinate and deliver training, workshops and information sessions for community members, volunteers and the Red Cross workforce.
- Build the capability of staff, volunteers and community partners to better support migrants in transition.
- Support the implementation of systems and reporting improvements in collaboration with Australian Programs colleagues.
- Work with Migration Support teams across Australia to develop resources, tools and activities that strengthen program delivery and reporting.
- Contribute to organisation-wide initiatives focused on volunteer engagement, systems improvements and program innovation.
- Provide surge support to assist with increased program delivery when required
What you will bring
- Demonstrated experience in project management, including program development, implementation and evaluation.
- Proven sound experience in utilising a strength-based approach in community development, ideally within migrant communities.
- Experience in working with and supporting volunteers.
- Demonstrated experience with stakeholder engagement and partnership development.
- A current driver’s licence and an Ochre Card (or the ability to obtain one) -these are mandatory requirements of the role.
