The Role
We are looking for an experienced and strategic Director of Finance to lead the financial operations of a nationally significant organisation and provide trusted financial leadership across the business.
Reporting directly to the Executive Director, you will play a key leadership role within the Executive Office, overseeing financial planning, budgeting, reporting, compliance and governance while working closely with senior leaders to support informed decision-making and organisational success.

Key Responsibilities
Lead the organisation's financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting and reporting.
Oversee grant funding, acquittals, procurement, contracts and financial compliance.
Provide trusted financial advice and insights to the Executive Director and senior leadership team.
Partner with the organisation's finance provider to ensure strong governance, financial controls and legislative compliance.
Lead and develop the finance function while building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

About You
You will bring:
Demonstrated experience leading finance functions within a not-for-profit or similarly complex organisation.
Robust expertise in financial management, budgeting, reporting, grants and compliance.
Proven experience providing strategic financial advice to senior executives and managing procurement and contracts.
Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and leadership skills, with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels.
CPA or CA qualification (or equivalent), along with a collaborative leadership style, sound judgement and a passion for making a difference.
