Shellharbour Private Hospital is an acute surgical facility, comprising of 3 operating theatres, a rehabilitation centre and a 56-bed Ward. The hospital has an excellent reputation in providing high-quality patient-centred care to the local community.

An opportunity exists for a motivated person to work within the Operating Theatre and Hospital Department Units as an Operating Theatre Assistant/Wardsperson. The role involves transporting & positioning patients, and equipment within the Perioperative complex and Hospital wide. You will also be expected to decontaminate clinical and non-clinical equipment and environments. The successful applicant will receive comprehensive training in manual handling techniques and infection control standards related to this position.

Essential Criteria

- Current Working with Children check/Police Check

- Flexibility to work day,



afternoon, and possibly weekend shifts is essential.

- Competent keyboard skills and MS office proficiency

- Exceptional cooperative customer service skills and well-developed verbal skills

- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver optimal patient centred care

Desirable Criteria:

- Healthcare experience in a hospital environment

Vaccination Category - Clinical Category A
