About the role

We are seeking an experienced Psychologist to join The Psych Collective Clinic. Ideally, we want a candidate who is EMDR-trained or willing to complete EMDR training within the next 3 months. We see a high number of frontline workers with occupational trauma under Workers' Compensation. We also support clients with general mental health concerns under Medicare, DVA, ADF and Open Arms.

What you'll be doing

1. Providing evidence-based psychological therapy and treatment interventions for clients presenting with various mental health conditions

2. Developing individualised treatment plans aligned with client needs and evidence-based practice standards

3. Maintaining detailed, accurate clinical records and documentation in compliance with professional and regulatory requirements

4. Collaborating with other healthcare professionals and referring practitioners to ensure coordinated and holistic client care

5. Managing a client caseload effectively whilst maintaining professional boundaries and ethical standards

6.



Contributing to continuous quality improvement within the clinic through career development and evidence-based practice updates

7. Participating in clinical supervision arrangements as appropriate for the contract terms

What we're looking for

1. Current registration with the Australian Psychology Board (AHPRA) as a Registered Psychologist or Clinical Psychologist. This position is also open to Clinical Psychology Registrars, and supervision can be included.

2. Demonstrated experience in providing psychological services in clinical or private practice settings

3. Strong knowledge of mental health conditions and therapeutic approaches (e.g. Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Trauma-Focused CBT, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy)

4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to build rapport with diverse clients

5. Ability to work autonomously whilst collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team

6. Strong organisational and time management skills with ability to manage client caseloads effectively

7. Commitment to professional ethics, confidentiality and evidence-based practice

8. Professional indemnity insurance (or willingness to obtain as part of contract terms)

Availability to join us 2 days per week (Wednesdays and Fridays are preferred), with the option to add extra clinic days or telehealth from home if desired.
