Conveniently located near the metropolitan area, in the Barossa Valley, South Australia, Laucke Mills is a family-owned stockfeed milling business, producing a range of quality stock and poultry feeds for both the domestic and commercial markets.
We have 2 vacancies for Mill Operators
These roles are responsible for safely and efficiently operating the equipment required for the manufacture of stockfeed, which includes the intake and receival of raw ingredients, ingredient mixing, measuring and batching.
Full training is provided. Both positions are full time, Monday to Friday rotating days, nights and afternoon shifts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operating feed manufacturing equipment, ingredient mixing, measuring and batching.
- Driving forklifts
- Working safely and efficiently to meet daily production and quality targets.
- Inventory management including weighbridge duties, unloading and loading transport
- Monitoring and testing grain and feed quality
- Cleaning and maintenance of equipment and work environment
- Adhering to OH&S; policies
MINIMUM SKILL LEVELS AND EXPERIENCE
- Current forklift license and driver’s license
- Experience in trades, feed mill or manufacturing environment a distinct advantage
- Mechanical aptitude an advantage
- Physically fit to undertake manual tasks
- Valuable written communication and computer skills
- Sound knowledge of OH&S; and environmental policies and legislation
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends and/or overtime hours as required
- High level of attention to detail
- Ability to work in a team and under pressure
