Finance Manager - LSC, Ongoing chance based in Sydney CBD + hybrid working options available

- DCS Manager, Finance - Long Service Corporation (LSC)
- Salary - Clerk Grade 11/12, $154,231 - $178,369+ superannuation and leave loading
- Duration: Permanent full-time role, ongoing
- Location: Hybrid with an in-office requirement 2 days a week in Sydney, McKell office. This may be subject to change in line with DCS workplace policies

Lead end-to-end financial stewardship for a complex Long Service Corporation business, partnering with executives to drive insight, governance and performance.

We are seeking an experienced and resilient Finance Manager to lead end-to-end financial management across this complex LSC business. This is a broad, hands‑on leadership role with a strong finance business partnering and advisory focus, supporting the organisation's BAU operations across revenue, expenditure and balance sheet activities.

About the team

This role sits within the Finance team in the Department of Customer Service.

Reporting to the DCS SNSW Finance Director and working closely with senior stakeholders across the LSC business, and Finance to provide insights, ensure financial governance, and support sound decision-making across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

- Lead end‑to‑end BAU financial management across the LSC business, including budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, analysis and insights across revenue, expenditure and balance sheet.
- Prepare and deliver high‑quality management reporting and performance analysis, enabling senior leaders to respond effectively to changing business and financial conditions.
- Act as a trusted finance business partner to the executive and senior managers, providing expert advice, trend analysis,



options and impact assessments to support informed decision‑making.
- Partner with leaders to identify strategic resourcing, funding and savings opportunities, developing financial strategies and proposals to achieve targets and business outcomes.
- Oversee revenue accounting, invoicing, customer billing, accounts payable and cash management, including day‑to‑day bank account oversight and reconciliations.
- Ensure strong financial governance, controls and compliance, including the development and continuous improvement of financial systems, policies and processes.
- Respond as needed with regulatory submissions and audit engagements, ensuring all obligations are met and audit recommendations are implemented.
- Stakeholder engagement across multiple areas including Treasury, business and Finance

To be successful in this role you will have

- Strong finance business partnering experience with the ability to influence and advise senior stakeholders.
- Solid understanding of revenue accounting, invoicing, accounts payable and cash management
- Experience managing bank accounts, reconciliations and working with statutory or central finance teams.
- Robust people leadership skills, with the ability to motivate, engage and develop teams.
- A relevant tertiary qualification in finance, accounting, commerce or a related discipline




- Eligibility for membership of a recognised professional accounting body, such as CPA Australia or the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia

Salary Grade 11/12, with the base salary for this role starting at $154,231 base plus superannuation.
