About the role
They are seeking a Senior Network Integrator to join their team, a leading organisation in Information & Communication Technology, specialising in building security and network engineering. This is a full-time position based in Surrey Hills, VIC 3127 . As a Senior Network Integrator, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing and maintaining complex network solutions that support our clients' operations. This position is central to the service delivery and will have a significant impact on the quality and reliability of the network infrastructure provided.
Key responsibilities
Design and implement comprehensive network solutions tailored to client requirements, ensuring scalability, security and performance
Integrate network systems and technologies, including switches, routers, firewalls and security appliances across diverse environments
Conduct thorough network assessments and audits to identify optimisation opportunities and potential vulnerabilities
Configure and deploy network infrastructure components, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices
Collaborate with clients and internal teams to gather requirements, understand business objectives and deliver solutions that meet expectations
Troubleshoot complex network issues and provide technical support to resolve connectivity and performance problems
Document network configurations, create technical specifications and maintain comprehensive records of all implementations
Mentor and support junior network engineers, providing guidance on technical matters and best practices
Stay current with emerging networking technologies and industry trends to ensure solutions remain innovative and effective
Participate in project planning and delivery, ensuring timelines and budgets are met whilst maintaining quality standards
What They're looking for
7+ years of experience in network engineering or network integration,
with substantial hands-on experience in enterprise environments
Advanced knowledge of network architecture, design principles and implementation methodologies
Proven expertise with major networking equipment and platforms from vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, Arista or equivalent
Strong understanding of network protocols, TCP/IP, routing, switching and security technologies
Experience with network security concepts including firewalls, VPNs, access control and intrusion prevention systems
Proficiency in network monitoring and management tools, as well as troubleshooting methodologies
Knowledge of data centre networking, cloud connectivity and hybrid network architectures
Relevant industry certifications such as CCNP, JNCIA or equivalent qualifications highly valued
Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver on schedule
Solid communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, colleagues and cross-functional teams
Problem-solving mindset with the ability to analyse complex technical challenges and implement effective solutions
Experience mentoring and developing junior team members is advantageous
