A highly regarded Australian commercial law firm is looking to appoint an Associate or Senior Associate to its growing Corporate M&A; practice.
What you will do
This is an opportunity to work on the same types of transactions that attract lawyers to top-tier and international firms, while gaining the hands‑on experience, client access and deal responsibility that can be harder to find in larger teams.
The practice advises founders, private groups, investors and listed companies on acquisitions, divestments, capital raisings, restructures and other significant corporate transactions. Many matters are high‑value, complex and strategically important, with the team regularly competing against some of Australia's largest law firms.
What sets this prospect apart is the level of ownership lawyers are given. Rather than operating in a narrow section of a transaction, lawyers are encouraged to take a broader role, manage key workstreams, build direct client relationships and gain exposure to the commercial and strategic drivers behind each deal.
- Work on complex M&A; and corporate transactions that compete with top-tier and international firms
- Enjoy top‑of‑market remuneration and leading benefits
- Gain direct exposure to founders, boards, investors and senior decision‑makers
