Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Signwriter role based in Burnie, TAS. The Signwriter will fabricate, and install a variety of signs, including printed and vinyl signage, in line with client specifications and brand guidelines. Daily tasks include operating sign-making equipment (such as printers, cutters, mounting table, guillotine, saw bench and laminators), and performing hands-on production work. The role also involves safe on-site installation, basic maintenance of tools and machinery, and keeping work areas organized and compliant with safety standards. Collaboration with the wider team, communicating with clients as needed, and meeting project deadlines are key elements of the position.

Qualifications





- Experience in signwriting or related trade, including practical skills.
- Ability to use sign-making equipment and tools (e.g., vinyl cutters, large-format printers, laminators, hand tools) in a safe and efficient manner.
- Solid attention to detail, accuracy in measuring and cutting materials, and commitment to producing high-quality, durable signs.
- Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to follow instructions, collaborate with colleagues, and interact professionally with clients.
- Sound understanding of workplace health and safety practices, particularly for on-site installations and working with equipment and materials.
- Ability to perform physical tasks related to sign installation, including lifting, working at heights (where required and safely), and standing for extended periods.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally for installations and site visits.
- Trade qualification, apprenticeship in signwriting, or relevant industry experience is highly regarded.
