About The Role

We are partnering with a leading renewable energy organisation to appoint an experienced Environmental Compliance & Approvals Lead for a major onshore wind farm construction project in South Australia.

This is a site-based position offered on a 12-month rolling contract, with either DIDO (5:2) or FIFO (3/1 roster – 19 days on) arrangements available. Camp accommodation or housing will be provided.

Reporting functionally to the HSE Lead and working closely with the Site Construction Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all environmental approvals, permits, consent conditions and landholder commitments throughout the construction phase.

Working across project, contractor and client stakeholder groups, you will play a key role in maintaining compliance registers, tracking obligations, verifying evidence of compliance and providing high-quality environmental reporting on one of South Australia's significant renewable energy projects.

- Lead environmental compliance management across all construction activities on site.
- Ensure compliance with environmental permits, approvals, licences and regulatory commitments.
- Maintain project compliance registers and tracking systems for approval conditions and obligations.
- Monitor compliance with EPBC approvals, South Australian Development Approval conditions and other statutory requirements.
- Verify contractor compliance with environmental management plans, permit conditions and project requirements.
- Manage and maintain Landowner Obligations Registers, ensuring commitments are tracked, implemented and evidenced.
- Monitor compliance with landholder agreements, including environmental, biosecurity, rehabilitation and access commitments.
- Conduct environmental inspections,



audits and compliance reviews across the construction site.
- Investigate environmental incidents and manage corrective and preventative actions.
- Prepare monthly environmental compliance reports and supporting evidence for client reporting requirements.
- Support environmental training, awareness initiatives and continuous improvement programs.
- Liaise with contractors, consultants, regulators, landholders and project stakeholders.

About You

- Demonstrated experience managing environmental compliance on major construction, infrastructure, resources or renewable energy projects.
- Strong understanding of environmental approvals, permits and compliance reporting requirements.
- Experience maintaining compliance registers, obligations tracking systems and environmental assurance processes.
- Proven ability to conduct environmental audits, inspections and compliance reviews within a construction environment.
- Robust stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with experience working across contractors, project teams, regulators and landholders.
- Degree qualification in Environmental Science, Environmental Management or a related discipline.
- Experience on utility-scale renewable energy, transmission or major infrastructure projects will be highly regarded.
- Familiarity with EPBC approvals, Development Approval conditions, CEMPs, ISO 14001 and environmental auditing is advantageous.
