Senior Accountant - suits first/second mover

Base pay range: A$110,000.00/yr - A$140,000.00/yr

Our client: Well known Australian software group, going through a period of change and growth. This role is newly created as they are looking to build out their local finance team.

Location: CBD based with WFH on offer.

The role

This role is a key role, that will take ownership of financial reporting, involvement in month end, and exposure to financial planning and projects - while being highly visible and acting as a business partner across the business. Reporting to the Finance Manager you will be responsible for the below duties:

- Be part of the end of month close process and assist with improvements and process change
- Half year and yearly reporting to the ASX
- Drive financial reporting across the group and business units in line with local and international reporting standards
- Research complex accounting issues, prepare detailed analyses,



and assess the implications of changes to accounting policies and standards.
- Assisting in budgeting and forecasting cycles
- Involvement with system integration and key project work

About you

- First/second movers - Big-4 or mid-tier audit background is highly desired
- Strong technical accounting background and desire to be challenged
- Outstanding communicator with a passion for driving change in a rapid paced environment
