Our client, a top tier law firm, is looking to recruit a mid to senior level lawyer for their busy Sydney Tax team.

The firm works with top financial institutions, multinational corporations and state and Australian government departments and agencies.

The Role

The Tax Group at this law firm is widely regarded as having one of the strongest practices in the country. Award winning lawyers provide a variety of clients with specialist tax advice across a broad spectrum of industries.

In this role, you will be involved in advising clients on tax implications of transactions and investments across a range of corporate, funds, energy and resources and property clients.

Additionally, clients will rely on you to advise on a range of corporate tax law from corporate reorganisations, trusts, initial public offerings, secondary offerings, spin‑offs, joint ventures, employee share schemes and executive remuneration,



through to partnerships.

Requirements

The successful candidate will have a genuine passion for tax and continued learning. The team are looking for a positive, friendly personality to work effectively in a team and the ability to turnaround high quality work to tight timeframes.

In addition to this, you will have:

- Exceptional drafting skills, with distinct ability to draft clear and succinct advice as well as extensive advice.
- Have an unrestricted Australian or New Zealand practicing certificate with 3 years or more experience working on a range of corporate tax matters from the international tax, M&A; or corporate tax areas of a top-tier or mid-tier private practice or top-tier accounting firm.
