Kellyville Private Hospital is seeking a Career Medical Officer (CMO) to join our dedicated medical team on a subcontractor basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for a doctor with an interest in mental health to work alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team in a supportive private hospital environment.

The Opportunity

- Part‑time subcontractor position
- Mondays and Tuesdays
- $130 per hour (inclusive of superannuation)

About the Role

Working closely with our Consultant Psychiatrists and multidisciplinary team, you will provide high‑quality inpatient medical care and support the delivery of exceptional patient outcomes.

Key responsibilities

- Medical admission of all voluntary psychiatric patients
- Involvement in MDT
- Attend to request listed in the CMO book
- Clinical reviews of patients as needed
- Commencement and management of medication charts
- Ward rounds




- Identify acutely deteriorating patient and discuss with admitting VMO overseeing the admission or transfer of patient to an acute facility
- Review online pathology results and update VMO where necessary
- Assist VMO’s with discharge summaries
- Organising scripts for inpatient during their admission and preparation for discharge

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Current registration as a Medical Practitioner with AHPRA.
- Demonstrated clinical experience in a hospital setting.
- An interest in mental health and working within a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A collaborative, patient‑centred approach to care.
