Altitude Recruitment is partnering with a well established consumer electronics and technology business with a growing local and international footprint to recruit an experienced Accounts Receivable Officer to join their finance team.

This role is ideal for an experienced professional who enjoys building strong customer relationships while maintaining a clean ledger and delivering strong cashflow outcomes in a high-volume environment.

About the Role

This is an Accounts Receivable role within a busy finance team, working closely with sales, BDMs, customer service and the distribution centre. The business sells into major national retailers, so this role carries real weight in terms of relationship management and credit control, not just processing.

You will report to the AR Manager and play a key part in keeping the ledger clean, debtor days low, and relationships with retail customers solid.

What You'll Be Doing

- Managing and monitoring accounts including credit limits, payments and claims across a national retail customer base
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, BDMs and sales managers
- Chasing payment resolution on outstanding debts, including from overseas customers
- Processing claims and rebates, and resolving account queries end to end
- Reconciling debtors and maintaining accurate, up to date ledgers
- Uploading debtor financing weekly and reconciling at month end
- Assisting with opening and closing new accounts in SAP, including PPSR and insurance set up




- Contributing to cashflow forecasting and debtor planning
- Attending regular meetings with BDMs and sales to keep accounts aligned with targets.

Who We're Looking For

This role can suit a range of experience levels. What matters most is attitude. The business needs someone proactive who asks questions, takes ownership, and runs with things independently.

- Experience in an accounts receivable or credit control role, ideally within a product based or wholesale industry
- Comfortable managing high volume transactions and reconciliations
- Experience dealing with national retailers is highly regarded
- SAP experience is a plus but not essential
- Confident, proactive communicator who builds relationships easily with customers and internal stakeholders
- Someone who takes initiative and enjoys figuring things out.
